Where carpetgrass (Axonopus compressus) will grow, sour paspalum (Paspalum conjugatum) has no place and is probably a sign of poor management. However, in areas of poor or sour soils, in shade and in times of drought, sour paspalum comes into its own throughout the tropics as a valuable component of the total forage resource.Type
