ABOUT THIS COLLECTION

Beginning in 1899, the University of Arizona’s storied campus newspaper has been published under six different titles throughout its history: Sage Green and Silver, University of Arizona Monthly, University Life, Arizona Life, Arizona Weekly Life, and what we know today as the Arizona (Daily) Wildcat. University Life ran from October 1908 to May 1910 and featured a variety of articles, essays, and original stories written by students in a twice-monthly format.

The paper highlights the regular goings-on of the university’s daily activities, encompassing various aspects of campus life, including sports, academics, events, and the performing arts. A particular emphasis was placed on literary pursuits, with the University Life mission statement being: "Published by the students of the University of Arizona not only in name but in fact." The year and a half run of this publication has been digitized and made publicly accessible through the efforts of the University of Arizona Libraries & Special Collections.
